Respite Care

Respite care provides temporary relief for families and caregivers of autistic individuals.

Caring for an autistic family member can be demanding. Respite care may be provided in-home or at a center, and allows caregivers to rest, attend to other needs, or simply recharge. Some states offer respite funding through Medicaid waiver programs.
